RCHS has launched a Social-Emotional Learning program for students that is the first of it's kind in the US!  The program, Purpose Prep, is embedded within the Edgenuity platform that Coop students use for their course work, and students access this learning digitally. 

"Purpose Prep is transforming learning for students... through its dynamic model called “The Whole Human,” preparing humans for learning, career, relationships and life."

Testing

WY-TOPP

Each Fall and Spring, students in grades 9 and 10 take WY-TOPP assessments in their Core classrooms in areas including ELA, Mathematics, Science and Writing. Here is the website with additional information for students and parents: WYTOPP
ACT
 
Each Spring, all Juniors at RCHS will take the ACT. 
 
In addition, Rawlins High School is a testing site for National ACT Test Dates.
 
Overview of the ACT:
The ACT is a standardized exam used as an admissions benchmark by colleges and universities.

ASVAB

If you're serious about joining the military, then get serious about the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).

The ASVAB is a timed multi-aptitude test, which is given at over 14,000 schools and Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS) nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense.

Other Supports

Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organization created in 2008 by Salman Khan with the goal of creating a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short lessons in the form of videos. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. All resources are available for free to users of the website and app.

 

A tutoring program for all Wyoming students in grades K-12, in all subject areas, including ACT and SAT prep. Tutoring is face-to-face; and/or by Skype; and/or by Face-time.
